The United
States Army Infantry Center
The United States Army Infantry Center at
Fort Benning, GA proudly provides the nation
with the world’s best trained Infantry
soldiers and adaptive leaders. Home to The
National Infantry Museum, Fort Benning is
part of what is known as the Tri-Community.
This consists of Fort Benning, Columbus, GA
and Phenix City, AL. Fort Benning covers 181,626
acres of land mostly in west central Georgia
and the rest in east central Alabama. The
Chattahoochee River divides Fort Benning between
Georgia and Alabama. |

Coca-Cola
Space Science Center, Columbus State University
The Mead Observatory, attached to the Coca-Cola
Space Science Center allows students and astronomers
an exciting celestial experience. The observatory
is equipped with powerful telescopes, cameras,
and video devices to capture major astronomical
events. The Coca-Cola Space Science Center
is only a short drive from Fort Benning and
offers summer camps, a learning center, exhibits,
and a theater. |
